Zhao He

 

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Zhao received his Ph.D. in Materials Physics and Chemistry from Key Laboratory of Carbon Materials, Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021. His Ph.D. research focused on advanced carbon materials especially specialty graphite for nuclear industry and aerospace industry. He has a solid research background in carbon materials and carbon-based composites especially functional/engineering carbon materials derived from carbonaceous precursors such as coal pitch and petroleum pitch.

Previously from February 2020 to February 2021, Zhao was working as an Academic Visitor collaborating with Prof. T. James Marrow in the Department of Materials, University of Oxford. Zhao won many awards and honorary titles during his doctoral studies such as Chinese Academy of Sciences Presidential Scholarship in 2021, Outstanding graduate of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021, Outstanding Graduate of Beijing in 2021, Tang Lixin Scholarship for studying abroad in 2020, National Scholarship for Graduate Students in 2019, National scholarship for studying abroad in 2019, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Pacemaker to Merit Student in 2019, Tang Lixin Scholarship in 2019, Outstanding Graduate student of the Laboratory in 2018 & 2019, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences Merit Student in 2017.

Zhao joined Primalight in September 2021. Zhao’s research focuses on phase change materials for main applications in primitive security and color display.
